What do members suggest is best to stabilise bags and boxes etc, Heavy basal or light if you only want to buy one. Thank you.

You might find this article from the tip section useful https://halfyardsewingclub.com/tips/choosing-interfacing I would use H640 for a soft finish to make a bag especially if quilting, Debbie’s Craft Fleece gives a thinner but firmer finish to bags and boxes, Bosal gives a firmer structured bag and a good surface for quilting, Decovil light gives a firm thin structure for boxes and bags which can be turned through a turning gap and Decovil Heavy gives a very firm finish to bags and boxes but is difficult to turn through if you are using this method. Hope this helps a bit 😊

Did you take a photo of the piece before you cut it to ensure you have the pieces in the right place as it seems a long way out. I know Debbie suggested taking a photo when piecing these interface designs. Feels to me that piece 11 should feed to piece 5 but I haven’t made it so not able to help fully. If you want a speedier response I would contact Debbie at enquiries@debbieshoresewing.com for an answer as it is one of their products rather than an HYSC project.

I'm looking at the Ladies PJs and for the life of me I can't find the sizing charts. It says they are on the templates but I can't see them. Only the charts to say what line is used for each size, not the measurements. Many thanks.
Andrea replied: 24 Nov 25 at 16:09
Thank you. I was looking on the actual pattern pieces/templates!!

Im having trouble finding my way round the site - i cant find the full list of projects? Also, when i search, for instance bag patterns it doesnt just show them i have to trawl through block of the month etc etc?
barb replied: 23 Nov 25 at 11:46
Go to the projects tab. When it opens that's the full list. Scroll down to see everything. However you will also see buttons, bags, toys dressmaking etc. Hit the bag button to see all bag projects. Hope this helps.

I am making the Noel gnome and I wonder about the hat. I’m using the gnome book and it says to cut one large hat piece. Can someone tell me if that is correct. It seems you need two pieces. Could someone please tell me. Thank you

Sometimes it would be good to enlarge or reduce the size of patterns....e.g the toys. Can someone please explain how to do this on a computer please as I cannot find the resize buttons anywhere. Maybe a demo on the Tips and Techniques page would help everybody for reference? Thank you
barb replied: 16 Nov 25 at 03:04
Yes, as Laura says this is all about the settings which vary by type of device and set up. I would suggest searching 'changing printer settings on xxxx, ' where xxx is the exact device you are using, model as well as type, and the instructions should appear. If not come back here with the more details and someone may have that same device to help.
