I'm making block 1 and 13 of the QAYG 2023. In the intial instructions it says to purchase a yellow, green and pink thread and a medium grey. I'm assuming that once you've constructed your blocks 1 and 13 and start quilting you'd use the medium grey to free motion quilt on the green and yellow melons and echo quilt on the WW. Otherwise if you used the yellow or green thread on the melons to fmq it would stand out too much on the reverse. First time attempting something like this so any advice appreciated and probably a silly question!
