I make small items, like phone and glasses cases, cushion covers, that sort of thing (with quite wonky lines), so mainly use a straight stitch. On a lot of videos when using straight stich, it says to use a length of 2.5 or 2.3. The machine won't do this, it's either 2.4 or 2.6. Is that correct? Are all machines different in that respect? Also, no matter how many times I rethread and reinsert the bobbin, the thread nests underneath the fabric. I mainly use cotton and gutterman thread. Am I doing something wrong? I've tried all the remedies suggested on various sites, but it's not worked. I'm thinking that the machine is faulty, as it's also quite noisy. Thanks and sorry for the long post.
