Add Binding To Your Block Of The Month Quilt (2019)
Easy |
Quick Links: What you'll need Project steps
Debbie Shore's Block of the Month tutorial will show you how to add binding to your finished quilt.
It's time to add binding to finish your quilt project. I’ve chosen a double fold binding, which is simply a strip of fabric folded in half. It's a tried and trusted quilting method that creates a double layer of fabric to make a durable edge to what will be a well-used quilt!
You could use a shop-bought binding or make your own. If your binding is purchased, go straight to step 4. For my quilt, I thought it would be fun to create a multi-coloured binding using left-over pieces of quilt fabric. You will need 205in (525cm) of binding.
