Cross Block of the Month #10 Tutorial | Quilt Sew-Along (2021)
Easy |
Quick Links: What you'll need Project steps
We've finished the main body of our seminole quilt; let's make a start on sewing the edge design!
The design running along the edge of the quilt features four different diamond motifs, two of which are the same but created in two different colourways. This distinctive motif, resembling a cross, adds a unique touch to the quilt’s border. This month, we'll focus on mastering this motif and incorporating it into your quilt project. It’s a great design element that adds both style and interest to your quilt’s edge.
I have used 19¾ x 21½in (50 x 55cm) fat quarters to cut my strips; if your fabric is wider, then please cut your fabric to these measurements first.
Unfinished block size: 6½in (16.5cm) square.
