Snake Block of the Month #5 | Quilt Sew-Along (2021)
Moderate |
Quick Links: What you'll need Project steps
This month's quilt block is a fabulous snake-like pattern that is very effective in bold colours!
'Snake' is a striking quilt block with a clever design that creates the illusion of individual diamonds, when in fact it's just strips! This unique Seminole patchwork block can be used on its own as a bold border around a tablecloth, or around the bottom of a jacket to dress to impress. Its geometric pattern adds visual interest and is perfect for creating standout pieces.
I have used 19¾ x 21½in (50 x 55cm) fat quarters to cut my strips; if your fabric is wider, then please cut your fabric to these measurements first.
Unfinished block size: 18½ x 5in (47 x 27.5cm)
