Welcome to your June Block of the Month project! This quilt block design is named Criss Cross. Although we're only halfway through the year, I'm seeing little Christmas presents in the design… so why not start on a Christmas table runner using festive cotton fabrics? This would make a fabulous border, or a patchwork piece straight down the centre.
I have used 19¾ x 21½in (50 x 55cm) fat quarters to cut my strips; if your fabric is wider, then please cut your fabric to these measurements first.
Unfinished block size: 18½ x 8in (47 x 20.25cm)

You will need:
Equipment
- Sewing machine
- Rotary cutter and cutting mat
- Quilting ruler
Materials
Fabrics (see my Introduction to the 2021 Block of the Month). From these, you will need to cut:
- Set 1 -
- One 2¾in (7cm) strip in FAB7
- One 1¼in (3.25cm) strip in BL
- One 2¾in (7cm) strip in FAB8
- Spacer Strips -
- One 7¾in (19.75cm) strip in FAB6
- One 1¼in (3.25cm) strip in BL
