Sew Debbie Shore's August's quilt block reminiscent of falling dominoes – hence the name!
We're close to the reaching the overall length of our quilt-along project! Note that, in addition to cutting the main strips along the width of the fabric, you will need to cut additional 4in (10cm) long strips in each of the colours used. This will make sense in a moment!
I have used 19¾ x 21½in (50 x 55cm) fat quarters to cut my strips; if your fabric is wider, then please cut your fabric to these measurements first.
Unfinished block size: 18½ x 6in (47 x 15.25cm)

You will need:
Equipment
- Sewing machine
- Rotary cutter and cutting mat
- Quilting ruler with 45-degree angle
Materials
Fabrics (see my Introduction to the 2021 Block of the Month). From these, you will need to cut:
- Two 3in (7.75cm) strips in FAB9
- One 1¾in (4.5cm) strip in FAB7
- One 1¾in (4.5cm) strip in FAB8
- One 1¾in (4.5cm) strip in FAB10
- Plus an additional 4in (10cm) long strip of each fabric the same depths as above
