Christmas Logs Block of the Month #1 (1 of 2) Quilt (2022)
Easy |
Quick Links: What you'll need Project steps
This Christmas Logs quilt block is made with the Log Cabin quilting technique.
There are two blocks to make this January, which are both designed to be exceptionally quick to sew. Christmas Logs will see you master the Log Cabin technique. This style of quilt is called 'Log Cabin' because of the pattern. It is made with a central shape, such as a square or a diamond, in the middle that is said to represent the hearth or fireplace.
As you’ll working with narrow strips and it’s vital for accuracy to keep your log cabin straight, I would suggest you starch your logs before you sew.
Unfinished trimmed block size: 12½in (31.5cm) square
