Easy |
Quick Links: What you'll need Project steps
Any little one would love to see this stocking filled with treats on Christmas morning!
I have given the measurements and instructions to make one lovely flower; if you’re like me and would love to add one or two more, simply double (or triple!) the amount of fabric and buttons.

You will need:
Equipment
- Sewing machine
- Hand sewing needle and thread, for stitching the flowers
Materials
- 30 x 24in (78 x 62cm) of star fabric, for the stocking outer
- 30 x 24in (78 x 62cm) of plain fabric, for the stocking lining: mine is red in colour, to match the large stars on the outer fabric
- Strip of lace or ribbon at least 8in (20.25cm) wide, for decoration
- 10in (25.5cm) length of ½in (1.25cm) wide ribbon, for the hanging loop: mine is a green gingham, to match the green stars
- One small button, for the hanging loop
- 16in (40.75cm) square of patterned fabric, for the flower petals: I have chosen a green spotted one, to match the small green stars on the outer fabric
- Two buttons, one medium and one large, for the flower stamen
