Debbie Shore's Robyn rag doll toy is ready to dress up for some Halloween fun this October.
Robyn the rag doll is dressed up and ready to have some Halloween fun with Maddie! He is very excited about his cloak and wizard hat, and is pretending to be a certain magical boy with a bolt-shaped scar... His cloak and hat are decorated with felt stars and moons, which are simply top stitched in place, felt is an ideal fabric for the applique as it doesn’t fray.

You will need:
Equipment
- Sewing machine
- Fabric shears
- Bodkin or safety-pin to thread the ribbon drawstring through its casing
- Optional: fabric glue to assemble the hat
Materials
- 22 x 16in (56 x 40cm) of outer fabric for the cloak: mine is a dark purple/navy batik
- 22 x 16in (56 x 40cm) of lining fabric for the cloak: I used the same lilac as for Maddie’s dress
- 6in (15cm) square of yellow felt for the appliquéd stars and moons on the cloak and another 6in (15cm) square for the ones on the hat – or use more felt to make more stars
- 18in (46cm) of ¼in (5mm) of wide ribbon for the drawstring of the cloak
- 20 x 20in (51 x 51cm) of black felt for the hat
- 10 x 10in (25 x 25cm) of medium-weight fusible interfacing to stiffen the hat brim
