Adding rivets and press studs

No matter what it is, a little bit of hardware will give your project a shop-bought look.

In addition to style, rivets and press studs serve a practical purpose too. Rivets strengthen pockets on jeans, and closures on denim usually require strong fastenings such as press studs. Metal hardware usually comes with its own fitting tools, so you'll only need to have your own hammer to hand. If you're working with denim a lot, it's worth investing in a multi-sized punching tool.
