Bias binding

I use quite a lot of bias binding in my projects as it's a simple solution to finishing off raw edges, and gives a professional finish to my work.

I use quite a lot of bias binding in my projects as it's a simple solution to finishing off raw edges, and gives a professional finish to my work. Although it can be bought in many colours and sizes, I like to make my own as it's not only cost-effective, it also means I can co-ordinate my fabrics.

Bias tape is called so as it's a strip of fabric cut on the diagonal, at a 45 degree angle, which allows a little 'give' so the fabric stretches around curves without puckering.
