Flying Geese

An essential patchwork and quilting technique to add to your repertoire!

Flying Geese is one of the key blocks for quilting and patchwork, and although looks complicated is actually very simple to make! Although we don't know much about when the name came about, it's certain that it comes from the appearance of the block itself – a goose flying.

Different quilters have slightly different methods of making this block; below is the one I have always used, and one I have followed to make my first block for the 2020 quilt.
