Lazy daisy stitch

This simple stitch can create pretty flower accents to many projects such as dresses and bags, or a simply a bunch of flowers embroidered in a hoop!

For your hand-embroidered lazy daisies, you will need your chosen embroidery thread/floss and an embroidery (or crewel) needle. Your embroidery thread/floss usually comes in six strands. Try using six, four or three strands to see the different effects. The more stands, the thicker the daisy outline will be. Here I'm using all six strands; if I wanted the flower to be a bit daintier or smaller, I'd use two.
