Overlocker tips

Overlockers/sergers are a great investment for finishing the seams of garments, working with stretch fabric and giving a professional finish to anything you gift or sell.

Overlockers require three or four threads which are knitted together with needles from the top and loopers from the bottom, creating strong seams. At the same time, a built-in blade (which can sometimes be removed or covered if required) trims away excess fabric and loose threads from fabric edges. Overlockers sew so much faster than a sewing machine, making garment construction quick and giving you a shop-bought look!
