Sewing with perfect tension

Struggling with your sewing machine tension? Here are a few tips that can help.

I hear so many times from new and experiences sewers alike that they have problems handling the tension on their sewing machines. Before you reach for the dial on your machine, there are several other factors that can affect tension.

One thing to bear in mind is that if the thread is 'nesting' underneath your fabric it's a top tension issue; conversely, if it nests on top of your fabric it's a bobbin threading problem. The solution could simply mean re-threading your machine.
