Turning up trouser legs

Whether it's for ready-made trousers or ones you've stitched yourself, there'll come a time when you need to turn up a hem – or two!

I find the neatest way of turning up trouser legs is to sew by hand, but if you prefer, you could use the blind hem stitch on your sewing machine. The instructions below cover both options. If you are using the machine-stitch option, a blind hem foot will help to position your stitches perfectly.
