This month we have two projects! This cosmetic case could also be used as washbag, and there are handy pockets in the lining inside to store all your self-care essentials.
Keep your make-up and brushes organized in this useful case, which could easily double up as somewhere to store your notions and haberdashery! I’ve used soft canvas for both the outer and lining of my case, but a lighter weight cotton would work just as well.
Finished size: 8in (20.5cm) in diameter, 6in (15.25cm) in length.
Note: Use a ½in (1.25cm) seam allowance throughout.

- Fabric shears
- Safety pin
- Hand sewing needle
Materials
- 40 x 10in (101.75 x 25.5cm) piece of outer fabric
- 44 x 18in (111.75 x 45.75cm) piece of lining fabric
- 40 x 10in (101.75 x 25.5cm) piece of fusible fleece
- 50in (127cm) length of 1in (1.25cm) wide bias binding
- 24in (61cm) length zip
- 9in (23cm) length zip
- 24in (61cm) length of ½in (1.25cm) wide elastic
- Strong matching thread
