Pinwheel Block of the Month #12 Quilt Tutorial (2021)
Easy |
Quick Links: What you'll need Project steps
Learn how to make easy Half Square Triangles to make the final block in our quilt's edge design.
This pinwheel block is essentially using half square triangles, except the first, larger joined squares are cut twice on the diagonal instead of only once. The triangles are then reassembled to make a pinwheel design, then bordered by contrasting black triangles to finish.
I have used 19¾ x 21½in (50 x 55cm) fat quarters to cut my shapes; if your fabric is wider, then please cut your fabric to these measurements first.
Unfinished block size: 6½in (16.5cm) square
