Denim Patchwork Wallet
Moderate |
Quick Links: What you'll need Project steps
Multi-pocket wallets are incredibly useful, and now you can make one to match your bag.
Here’s a simple way to make a wallet, with four pockets for cards, another two small pockets, a large pocket which could hold your mobile phone, and a zipped pocket for change.
I’ve used left-over denim squares from the Hobo bag, which I made from old denim jeans, and you can either use 3½in (9cm) fabric squares too or make the cover from a single piece of fabric. If you’re using a printed cotton, a non-directional print works best. As denim is quite a heavy fabric, I’ve just used a medium-weight interfacing (Vlieseline G700), but if using quilting-weight cotton you may prefer a fusible fleece such as Vlieseline H630.
Note: Use a ¼in (5mm) seam allowance.
Finished size when closed: 9 x 4½in (23 x 11.5cm).
