Simple enough for beginners, make Debbie Shore's quick and easy fabric bowls sewing pattern.
Do we ever have enough storage? These fabric bowls are not only incredibly useful but they’re quick and easy to make too, so let’s get started! Every crafter knows the frustration of things getting knocked off the table or pushed to the back or out of sight and apparently vanishing. The solution is better storage, and soon you’ll wonder how you ever managed without these fabric bowls. There are two sizes of bowl, and the materials are enough to make both, but of course you can make just one or make two in the same size – whatever you need.
The fabric bowls are handy to have at the side of your sewing machine filled with bobbins, presser feet, clips or buttons – or you can use them for other crafting projects. And you can just as easily fill them with cleansing pads and cosmetics, or even sweet treats! As a bonus, they are reversible!
Note: use a ¼in (5mm) seam allowance.
Finished size: 5 x 5 x 2in (13 x 13 x 5cm) and 4 x 4 x 1¾in (10 x 10 x 4.5cm)

You will need:
Equipment
- Sewing machine
- Scissors or rotary cutter and cutting mat
Materials
- 21 x 11in (53.5 x 28cm) of outer fabric – I have used patterned navy fabric
- 21 x 11in (53.5 x 28cm) of lining fabric – I have used plain red fabric, but remember that this bowl is reversible so you can use whatever you like
- 21 x 22in (52.5 x 56cm) of medium-weight interfacing: I used Vlieseline G700
