Learn how to construct and finish off Debbie Shore's Block of the Month Quilt.
We have now reached the end of our 2022 quilt-along – congratulations! I hope you enjoyed developing your quilting skillset while making all the blocks for our Christmas Capers quilt this year.
Below are the instructions for constructing and finishing off your quilt. This includes assembling the blocks, making your quilt sandwich, quilting and then binding.

You will need:
Equipment
- Sewing machine
- Iron
- Rotary cutter, cutting mat and ruler
- Scissors
- Pins or quilting clips
- Optional: tacking/basting spray
Materials
- All 13 blocks
- 46in (117cm) square of backing fabric
- 46in (117cm) square of wadding/batting
- 220in (560cm) of 2¼in (5.75cm) wide straight binding, which you could make from 12 x 44in (30.5 x 111.75cm) fabric
- A selection of matching and contrasting sewing thread
