Let's sew a fleece onesie outfit for Debbie Shore's Maddie and Robyn rag dollies.
Made to fit Debbie Shore's Maddie and Robyn rag dolly toy, these easy onesie patterns are made from fleece, which is a forgiving fabric to sew with: it's easy to sew, and no finishing of seams is needed as fleece doesn’t fray. You can choose fleece in any colour you like, to make the onesies unique to your own Maddie and Robyn. Maddie’s onesie has rabbit ears and Robyn’s has teddy ears, but sometimes they like to swap! For the inner ears, I used a printed cotton fabric.
Note: Use a ¼in (5mm) seam allowance unless otherwise stated.

You will need:
Equipment
- Paper scissors, for cutting out the patterns
- Sewing machine
- Fabric shears
- Hand-sewing needle
- Safety pin, to thread the elastic through the channels
- Optional: zipper foot
Materials
- 59 x 19¾in (150 x 50cm) of fleece fabric – plain or non-directional fleece would work best, as you may need more for a directional print
- 8in (20cm) zip to match the fleece
- 6in (15cm) of ¼in (5mm) wide ribbon to decorate the zip pull
- 8 x 8in (20 x 20cm) of patterned fabric for the inner rabbit ears or 7 x 3in (17.75 x 7.5cm) for the teddy ears: cotton fabric works well
- Four 9in (23cm) lengths of ¼in (5mm) wide elastic
