Maddie's Summer Pinafore Dress
Easy |
Quick Links: What you'll need Project steps
Maddie the rag doll is dressed for summer in her pretty pinafore!
If you’re not confident with attaching buttons, you could replace them with sew-in snap fasteners or hook-and-loop tape such as Velcro®. I’ve added a strip of broderie anglaise around the hem, but a length of lace would look pretty, too!
I enjoyed embroidering the little flowers on the skirt of the dress, as it added more detail to my gingham fabric, but if you’re using a bold patterned fabric they may not work as well.
If you have time, some spare fabric from the dress and some corresponding felt, why not make Maddie a pair of co-ordinating shoes following the instructions for her day dress shoes?
