Large Overnight Duffel Bag With Pockets | Sewing Pattern
Moderate |
Quick Links: What you'll need Project steps
Download Debbie Shore's large overnight duffel bag pattern with practical patch pockets.
Although it’s quite large, it’s a simple bag pattern with patch pockets both inside and out, so you don’t need to be an expert to make it. I’ve used a combination of faux leather and canvas for this one – make sure you have a walking foot or a non-stick foot for your machine when sewing with laminates like vinyl or faux leather. Any combination of heavy fabrics will work: denim or canvas is ideal to give you a strong, sturdy bag, while vinyl and faux leather have the advantage of being wipe-clean.
Finished size: 18½ x 8 x 9in (47 x 20 x 23cm)
Note: Use a ½in (1.25cm) seam allowance unless otherwise stated.
