Simple Pencil Case With Zip | Printable Sewing Pattern

Quick Links: What you'll need Project steps
Debbie Shore's zipped pouch opens up wide so that you can easily see your pens and pencils.
Perfect for storing pens and pencils, this simple pouch project zips up into a rectangular case for easy transportation and storage. Why not make a pouch to store your sewing haberdashery and threads when on the move, too? I'm often asked for sewing projects to make for boys, and this would be a perfect gift, made from canvas or denim. Use a non-directional print or plain fabric. I’ve used fusible fleece (Vlieseline H640) to stabilise my fabric, but any medium-weight interfacing will suffice – try Decovil Light from Vlieseline to give a crisper finish to the pencil case.
Finished size when closed: 2½ x 2½ x 9½in (6.5 x 6.5 x 24cm)
Note: use a ¼in (5mm) seam allowance
