PJ is a cute little mouse toy, dressed and ready for bedtime in a stylish nightshirt.

PJ is an adorable little toy mouse sewing pattern. PJ can be made from cotton, fleece or felt; I used a cotton canvas. Turning the tail through can be a bit tricky, so a pair of tweezers or a knitting needle may help!

For PJ's night shirt, if you like the look of buttons but don’t want to make buttonholes, sew two small pieces of hook-and-loop tape to fasten the front, with ‘fake’ buttons on the outside. Finished height: 16in (40.5cm)

Note: Use a ¼in (5mm) seam allowance and a small stitch of about 2.2 on your sewing machine.

You will need:

Equipment

• Sewing machine
• Fabric scissors
• Stiff paper or thin card for the templates
• Erasable fabric marker pen
• Doll needle
• Embroidery needle

Materials

For PJ the mouse:

• 26 x 12in (66 x 30cm) pink fabric for the body
• 8 x 4in (20 x 10cm) contrasting fabric for the inner ears
• Approx. 4oz (100g) toy filler
• Pink and black stranded embroidery thread/floss 
• Optional: two small buttons for the legs 

For PJ’s night shirt:

• 20 x 8in (50 x 20cm) of print fabric
• 12 x 6in (30 x 15cm) of contrasting fabric for the collar and pocket
• Two small snap fasteners
• Optional: hook-and-loop tape, buttons
