These cute flowers are sure to put a smile on your face! This door stopper is a fun and perfect, practical gift for the favourite lady in your life.
Furthermore, the petals are sewn by hand, so this is an ideal project to complete when you’re away from your machine.

You will need:
Equipment
- Sewing machine
- Fabric shears
- Hand-sewing needle
- Embroidery needle
- Pink fabric pen
- Blusher
- Strong scissors or pliers, for cutting the craft dowel rods
- 5in (12.75cm) circle template: a small side plate or cup saucer will suffice
- Strong wet fabric glue
Materials
- 30 x 10in (76.25 x 5.5cm) piece of patterned fabric: mine is a red ditsy floral
- 30 x 22in (76.25 x 56cm) piece of plain fabric: I have used a cream linen
- 56in (1.5m) length of ¾in (2cm) wide bias binding: mine is red, to correspond with the red flowers in the ditsy floral fabric
- Three 12in (30.5cm) long craft dowel rods
- Strong thread, such as jeans thread
- Black embroidery thread/floss
- Toy filling/polyester fibrefill
- Pop sock/knee-high pantyhose (!)
- Bagful of rice or sand (if you are using sand)
- 15in (40cm) length of ¼in (5mm) wide ribbon
