Loved the Doll House project last month? I'd like to introduce Wendy and Walter, the owners of the house!
Every house needs occupants if it is going to be the happy place it deserves to be, and the cheerful doll house (click here for instructions) is no different. Wendy and Walter live here, and love to come out and play. Simply made from felt, and with the same body pattern for both of them, the dolls are quick to make, and you could easily add a few friends for these charming characters, changing the colour of their hair, clothes and skin.
Finished size: 5 x 3in (13 x 7.5cm)

You will need:
Equipment
- Fabric shears
- Hand-sewing needle
- Embroidery needle
- Long sewing needle, to attach the arms: I used a doll needle
- Strong wet fabric glue
- Optional: tweezers, to help with stuffing
Materials
- 12 x 8in (30 x 20cm) of flesh coloured felt
- 4 x 2in (10 x 5cm) of felt for Walter’s hair
- 4 x 2in (10 x 5cm) of felt for Wendy’s hair
- 2 x 2in (5 x 5cm) of felt for Walter’s shoes
- 2 X 2in (5 x 5cm) of felt for Wendy’s shoes
- 10 x 2¼in (25 x 5.5cm) of felt for Wendy’s dress
- 4 x 6in (10 x 15cm) of felt for Walter’s dungarees
- Two ¼in (5mm) buttons for Wendy’s shoes
- Two ¼in (5mm) buttons for Walter’s dungarees
- 4in (10cm) of 1/8in (3mm) wide ribbon for Wendy’s hair bow
- Black and red embroidery thread/floss, split into two strands
- Embroidery thread/floss, for the cross stitch on Wendy’s dress
- Handful of toy filler
