Help anyone. Reach for the Stars, BOTM. Why am I not left with 1/4 inch seam allowance. I have double checked all my measurements but can?t seem to get the pieces to fit over the patterns so I get a square finish with the extra 1/4 inch. Thank you.

I have recently bought the double gauze fabric and as a dressmaker that has never used it before, would be interested to know if anyone has any suggestions, or can share any projects they have made. Thanks.
Laura replied: 6 Sep 22 at 10:02
Hi ?Debbie?s daughter has recently made a floaty dress in double gauze. You can see it on ?WhatKimberleyMakes? website. I haven?t used double gauze for clothing yet but Debbie did talk about it on a live recently and said it was easy to work with and gave a lovely cool finished garment. Good Luck

What sort of material is used for Maddie?s body? Debbie doesn?t say in her instructions, just flesh coloured, but I?d like to use something durable and soft. What have other people used? Debbie, what did you use? Many thanks for any help.

When I do patchwork and trim the fabric, the seams at the ends tend to become undone and I have to resew them. Any idea how I can avoid this? Thanks!

I was going to try and make the reversible kimono but not sure what type of fabric to use. Could someone advise me thanks Sally
Laura replied: 30 Aug 22 at 09:25
Hi Sally ?.Debbie explains it quite well on the project description where she says ?.?I?ve used patterned viscose for one side and plain cotton for the other. Any fabric that drapes would work well: satin, brocade or lightweight wool, for example. And why not add a belt to create a different look!? Hopefully that will help you to choose x. Wouldn?t it look lovely in the new sateens that Debbie showed us last week ?I think everyone may have had the same idea as they are out of stock now (sad face)
