My dad's birthday is coming up and I need tips on what to make for him on the theme "socializing." He loves making dinner/barbecuing and playing cards with his friends. I've already decided on oven mitts and card holders but want a big package with social stuff. It'll be paired with a Japanese table grill :)

Thanks Sherry! I've been thinking about an apron but I haven't found a pattern for men. My dad's a pretty big guy, both tall and wide-ish. The Japanese table runner sounds awesome! The projects are up for two years so yeah, it's been taken down... it's a shame... A Japanese table grill is a small grill that you can use on the table (outdoors) so everyone can barbecue together.

I?ve made a weekend bag using a teal coloured canvas. Unfortunately where I?ve used a glue pen to help attach the zips, I?ve now got some of the clear glue on the fabric. Has anyone got any tips to remove it please. Thanks

I managed to remove the glue just using water. Thank you for your help Alice. I have put a photo of the finished bag on the overnight bag project space.

I had been leaving to trim my blocks from 2022 quilt until I felt more comfortable doing it. Spent hours last night trying to be accurate but messed up ????. Now they are slightly smaller than 12? etc. Do I have to redo these blocks again? Would a slightly smaller seam allowance work? I am so bad at cutting a straight line and haven?t moved on with the blocks because of this. I?ve watched so many YouTube videos and still get it wrong ????. Any tips for cutting out all those different size squares for Christmas tree and presents block? Many thanks Claire

Claire if all your blocks are slightly under 12?, as long as they?re all the same it won?t matter.

What coloured thread works best with tan faux leather? I will be quilting but don?t want stitches to stand out

I would match the thread as closely as possible to the faux leather if you don?t want to see the stitches too much. Perhaps use a darker brown if you want the quilting to stand out more.
