Hello! I really want to have a go at quilting and the 2022 block of the month has inspired me to give it a go. Any advice on where to start? Would one of the previous years blocks be a good start? I?m thinking that the project maybe a bit beyond my skills.

Thank you. That sounds a good plan. I will give that a go first.

Hi Debbie & Team, Please can you recommend the best fabric glue to use? Thanks you Lorraine
Megan replied: 6 Dec 21 at 07:35
It would depend what type you were looking for this is great https://debbieshoresewing.com/haberdashery/adhesives/gutermann-ht2-wet-textile-glue/ these pens are out of stock at the moment but they are good for holding things in place like a zip while you sew https://debbieshoresewing.com/haberdashery/adhesives/sewline-fabric-glue-pen-and-refill/ and then there is this spray glue 250ml: https://debbieshoresewing.com/haberdashery/odif-505-temporary-fabric-adhesive-spray-250ml/ 500ml: https://debbieshoresewing.com/haberdashery/adhesives/odif-505-temporary-fabric-adhesive-spray-500ml/

Hi all, help! I am zigzagging round some letters and the stitch isn't catching some of the time so get straight stitches mixed with zigzag. I have rethreaded machine , changed needle. It was working fine yesterday. Any suggestions?
Anne replied: 5 Dec 21 at 22:26
Check your bobbin area for a bit of fluff or loose thread.

Is sewing a housecoat for 4 to 5 years difficult and does anyone have a pattern please
Debbie replied: 5 Dec 21 at 09:52
I would imagine it's quite simple, I don't have a pattern but take a look at the Mccalls website, there's bound to be one there!

Hi when emailing in for the 12 days of Christmas giveaways, do you have to do a different email for each giveaway you want to enter, or just put all the dates on one email. Sorry if this has been covered previously.
Megan replied: 3 Dec 21 at 20:57
I put it all in one email

I want to make the Christmas 2020 table runner and placemats. Could I use felt for the Christmas trees and a mixture of fabric and felt for the snowman?
Debbie replied: 5 Dec 21 at 09:53
I think that would work well!
