Hi have bought the Satchel bag pattern which looks very similar to the shelley bag. Could I make the satchell smaller? have only followed patterns for my bags so far and love all Debbies vidios Jean
Debbie replied: 12 Nov 21 at 08:26
You could, reduce all the measurements by the same amoun, and maybe make up one in scrap first...

Hi ladies, I wonder if you can help a novice at appliqu?. I am confused about the fusible webbing used for the Christmas trees. I purchased some adhesive backed and ironed it on to my fabric and cut out the trees. However when I positioned them on my project the sticky backing did not come off and it pulled the fabric out of shape and frayed the trees. What fusible webbing should I have used please?

By the way yes it was for the appliqu? project for the Christmas table runner.

Hi Everyone, just got my fleece to make Rosie - what type of needle would you use in your machine? Thanks Kate x
Debbie replied: 12 Nov 21 at 08:30
A universal should be fine, if you have jersey needles use one of those but don't buy any especially!

Hello, I have made Christmas crackers in the past, but they are now looking tired and I need to make more. I would really like not to buy snaps and hats (have pattern for crowns). What would any one recommend to sew onto the fabric which would make a "snap"? I have read about Kam snaps and was wondering whether large pr ess studs would be as effective? Views please. Thank you Carol Porter

Hi I have attempted Debbies child back pack (live 19/06) but my sides are too short! Struggling to make fit. Any ideas how can I rectify this or will I need to cut the side panels & redo pockets? Thank you.

Hi Debbie it was a learning 'curve' I should have measured accurately , I did them again & v pleased with the bag. A lovely design.

Hi I've just joined and i'm finding my way around the website. I've just looked at the QR code info and there is a picture of 2 rabbits, one in blue, one in pink. Was this a previous project and how do i find it? thanks Karen
HYSC replied: 4 Nov 21 at 15:21
Hi Karen, they are a pair of rabbit laundry bags - I'm sure you could adapt them to become soft toys though! They aren't on the site any more, but the good news is that they are available via refer a friend: https://www.halfyardsewingclub.com/refer-a-friend If you get a friend to sign up to the club they get a 2 month free trial, (which they can cancel at any time) and you get access to an exclusive ebook which features a selection of original projects from the club, including the rabbits! I hope that helps!

Hi all, what size (weight) ball of wool would I need for Maddies hair?
Debbie replied: 5 Nov 21 at 12:20
50g should be fine, although I did find with finer yard I used an extra half ball...

Hi, Can anyone tell me which projects have been deleted from the site, I can't find all my QR codes for the videos! Either I have done something very stupid without realising, or the grandchildren, playing games and whatever, have deleted them somehow.
Sharon replied: 16 Nov 21 at 19:55
I didn't realise you could download the projects so I didn't get to make the multi use caddy either. Can you tell me how I do this please so I don't lose any other projects. Thank you
