Hello, I am new to the HYC and also a sewing beginner. Can anyone recommend an ironing pad (like the one that is used in the demo's), and are they called 'ironing pads'? Thanks in advance for any help.

Anybody knows if this bag is a project on here or if Miss Debbie made it on YouTube at any point? I found it under SEWING WITH CORK on the Tips and techniques page.

@Laura: Do you know if there is any special size paper to print the Backpack template for this month second project? There is not the usual 1 inch square for scale. Thank you very much for a soonest response.

Thank you very much Laura. I will let you know.

Seeking solution in Santa Cruz! Almost -3 month member now, but have watched at least a hundred bag videos! Trying to finish Debbie?s crossbody phone bag but stymied near the end: have drop in lining inside out; bag is right side out. Placed bag inside lining. Next step is fold flap and tabs inside and stitch together at top, catching bag and lining. I can?t figure WHERE to stitch on the flap/back piece. Do I avoid flap itself and stitch below back/ flap seam? I just can?t visualize results, but it?s first bag, other than Debbie?s eco lunch bag . Any enlightenment very much appreciated!!!
Laura replied: 18 Nov 23 at 16:52
You would normally fit the flap to the back of the bag right sides together and sew this in place before you sew bag together and then add the tabs to the outside of the bag at the side seams. When you drop this into the lining you tuck everything in and then sew around the top edge ?the flap and the tab raw edge will all be sewn when you go around. Don?t forget your turning gap in the lining so that you can turn everything inside out. I find the construction technique on this video very useful ?the addition of the flap is at about 29 minutes into the video https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Uuj_9MqUlew but you might find a lot of the video will help you make sense of the steps. Hope this helps?don?t be afraid to ask for more details if you don?t quite get there.

Help! Where will I find the instructions for the Alice in Wonderland cushions, bunting etc.? I have purchased the fabric templates and finally found some decent backing. I cannot find the instructions anywhere on this site. Am I looking in the wrong place?
Sara replied: 17 Nov 23 at 15:57
Thanks for your reply, Barb. I realise now it's a separate download that you have to pay separately for - I thought it would be included! Thanks again!
