Debbie Shore's Dressmaking Studio: DIY Sweater Skirt
Easy |
Quick Links: What you'll need Project steps
Warm up this winter by upcycling one of your old sweaters into a pencil skirt! It's super easy and made-to-measure.
About the project
Tired of that sweater but love the fabric? It’s so simple to transform a knitted jersey top into a chic pencil skirt, without the need for a zip. When you’ve finished the skirt, make a pattern from it so that you can re-create it from other fabrics.
Before you start
Use a stretch or zigzag stitch on your sewing machine to prevent the stitches from breaking when you wear your skirt.
What should I make next?
If you enjoyed this easy DIY upcycling project, we'd also recommend turning to the “Turn Trousers into Shorts”, the Off-the-Shoulder Top and Kimono Jacket.
