Lavender Pouches
Very easy |
Quick Links: What you'll need Project steps
These pretty pouches make perfect, simple, hand-made gifts for any time of year, whether it's a birthday, Mother's Day or to cheer up a friend.
Mine is filled with lavender, which is said to have relaxing properties, and I have embroidered a lavender bouquet to correspond. However, other fillings could be used if you prefer or are allergic to lavender, such as dried rose petals, Tansey flower heads, rosemary sprigs or even citrus peels! You can then recreate the plant on the front of your pouch in a similar way to the lavender here, using different-coloured thread/floss.
Pop a pouch in a drawer, hang it in the wardrobe or on the back of the bathroom door, and fill the space or room with a gentle fragrance!
Finished size: 6½in (16.5cm) square
Note: Use a ¼in (5mm) seam allowance unless otherwise stated.
