What does WW mean in the block instructions for the new quilt please?
Laura replied: 6 Jan 23 at 13:51
The WW ..White on White is the code that Debbie is using for the colour coding of the white in the quilt kit that is available from her site. If you are using your own colour choices for the quilt you will need to code your colours as per the Introduction to the quilt and colours that was made available under the projects heading on here in December 2022.

I'm planning to make the Wonky Street Draught Excluder but I'm wondering roughly what size the houses would be based on the design that Debbie has made?

Blodwen replied: 3 Jan 23 at 09:15
Thanks again Barb, I found the video and it was very useful. I am finding it hard to do but I expect I need to practice a lot. ????

Here?s my polar bear. I?ve named him PomPom as my mum knitted the scarf with Pom poms on. A gift for our new great Neice. I think my next one will be better!
Rachel replied: 4 Jan 23 at 16:15
So sweet and I am sure it will be well loved.

Hello everyone. Can anyone suggest the best fleece for the polar bear. I?ve made him from wine fleece in my ?fabric collection? and he looks good but it made an awful mess of my sewing room! ????
Laura replied: 2 Jan 23 at 10:00
Did you use cuddle fleece for your first polar bear that does make a real mess until it is sewn or hemmed. A Polar or Antipil fleece is easier to cut and sew.

Hi, a question about the size of the original Maddie and Maddie from the Sew Maddie book, which I was lucky enough to receive just before Christmas. Yesterday I made the romper from the book for my Maddie and it turned out far to big and I had to resize When I measured my Maddie (which I should have done first) she was 23? tall not 26? as described in the book. Maybe my printer was at fault. Maureen

Thank you. I must have done something wrong when printing out the pattern - I didn?t check the size. Never mind it?s an incentive to make the new Maddie?s asap not just her clothes. I?ve spent a happy afternoon copying and cutting out all the patterns from tge templates and putting them into individual envelopes. Ready to go, just need to get some fabric for the body!

Can I use calico fabric to make maddie?
Laura replied: 2 Jan 23 at 07:45
Debbie said that calico can be used on her live on Saturday but said it can give a rustic look because of the look of the fabric and the flecks in the calico.
