Hi everyone, I have always been able to join the chat on Debbie's lives, however I got a new phone and when I watched the live today there was a box at the bottom that said 'create a channel to join the chat'. I clicked on it and it keeps saying error. Any help would be really appreciated.

Hi everyone, happy new year. Just a quick question, I didn't get to finish my Christmas quilt, I was wondering what style of quilt did you use? I've tried free motion but now I'm sat unpicking as it looks a mess! Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Kate x
Kate replied: 29 Dec 22 at 21:34
Thanks for your replies. I eventually did some stitch in the ditch, went round the stars and Santa's sleigh. This was my first big quilt and I put a lot of pressure on myself to get it right. Not quite finished got the binding to do. My hubby likes it. Xx

What is the difference between jersey and viscose jersey? Can you use either to make leggings? Thanks

Jersey is the knit, fibres can be cotton or viscose, viscose feels a bit lighter..

Hi Cazz, If you want to try something different, you could look at adapting the Wonky House Door Stop https://www.halfyardsewingclub.com/projects/april-2021-wonky-house-door-stop

Hi all. I hope you?ve had a lovely Christmas. I was disappointed to have to return my Aldi Necchi machine as it was faulty - complications meant there are no replacements ???? So, I now ( thanks to another generous gift ) find myself with about ?250 which I?d like to spend on a digital sewing machine - I?m a musician for work and already have trouble with arthritic hands, so I want to avoid as much turning of the needle-turny-handle-on-the-end-thingy ( don?t know the proper term! ???? ) as possible. I?d be really grateful for any recommendations please. Thank you Judi ??????????
Megan replied: 26 Dec 22 at 15:55
Not sure what you can do to use less of the handle but I recommend singer machines and not too much money and I've had mine for over a gear now and it is still really good
