Hi, I would like to make the Simple Dress, but I've tried to print the pattern at my local library and on checking the test square found the measurements short of what is required by about a 10th of an inch. The library are not able to help me adjust the print size. I do not have a printer at home. Has anyone had this problem and does anyone know how to solve it? Thanks
Bronzedragonfly replied: 9 Aug 25 at 15:36
When you select the option to print you should be able to tick the box to print 'actual size' before you proceed with the print option. Sometimes, it is just an additional drop down box on the print option screen before proceeding. Might be worth asking a different staff member with a little more IT knowledge - or if your library has IT classes, might be worth popping along to one of the sessions and asking the trainer to show you the print options. Hope this helps. H

I am fairly new to sewing, and joined the half yard club recently. Can I please ask if when printing off a download pattern, is it on to A4 paper, and do you add a 1/4in when cutting your fabric. Many thanks Susan
Suzie wong replied: 10 Aug 25 at 23:25
Thank you Jane, my son printed off the pattern for me, he worked out the square at the top needed to be correct. I read the tips section as Laura previously advised, and now my sewing project has begun. Thank you both x

Hi, I saw a patter for a wonky street Christmas wall hanging, however, it seems to have disappeared from the projects. I can find the cushion but not the wall hanging?

Hi all! I was looking at a sew along that is shortly about to start from a designer based in the UK and was shocked to see in the details that they were unable to send a pdf pattern to anyone outside the UK due to GPSR regulations. I'm shocked! Can anyone explain what would be the "consequences" of selling pdfs to EU customers? And what might this mean for my subscription to the Half Yard Sewing Clubâ¤ď¸?
HYSC replied: 6 Aug 25 at 16:07
Hi there Please see the link to our GPSR policy in the FAQs https://www.halfyardsewingclub.com/faq It won't affect your membership. :)

I did not purchase the 2yr subscription offer as mine was not due for renewal, but I have since heard that I could have purchased and kept it for when mine ran out. Is this right and does anyone know if the offer might be repeated? Thanks.
HYSC replied: 6 Aug 25 at 16:10
Hi, we aren't offering 2 year memberships on the Club quite yet, but we are looking to add them - watch this space!
