Hi Mary ..I just reread your question and realised that you meant a download that you purchased from Debbie rather than an HYSC project. Hi All I’m just wondering if anyone has any knowledge of this. I’ve had brother machines all my sewing life back to my 1980s heavy metal workhorse. In March I bought a innovis NV1800Q machine about 3 weeks ago it started nesting. It had 1 needle strike. I was told my seller to by a new bobbin case and that should fix it. It didn’t. I watch tutorials about threading, top and bobbin and making sure top thread had gone round the top tension. I got an engineer to fix it he has just told me that the tension was all out of whack although I never touched it and the book says it’s totally automatic and there is no tension wheel it all digital. He also said my J presser foot had damage that was breaking the thread. He said it working like a dream now. Now comes my question why is none of this not under warranty? Has anyone had similar problems with digital machines. Are we better sticking to the older machines?

Brother machines usually come with a 3 year warranty. What process did you follow with the engineer?. My Brother machine went wrong and was fixed free by the engineer when I gave the receipt as proof of date of purchase. He of course contacted brother to clear this first and then did the repair. Was the engineer you used authorised by Brother? If so I cant see why he would not fix it under the warranty. If he is authorised by brother I would ask why the warranty procedure was not followed.

I think I may have accidentally answered my own question I pushed installed instead of download. You should have three lines touch that then I did install instead of download hope this works for you
