Hi, Does anyone know an easy way to make a cylinder bag. I'm having trouble measuring for the circle bottom. Say I want my cylinder to be 6" round by 8" tall how big would my circle be? Thanks in advance :)?
Debbie replied: 4 Feb 21 at 09:31
Use pye... if you want the circumference to be 6" divide that by 3.142, but that would be a small circle... do you mean the circle is 6" across? Then times by 3.142.. there goes a maths lesson!

Sorry to be a nuisance.? ?I have finished Maddie and I am very happy with her.? I have made Robyn today, but I am still a bit confused about his hair.? Do I do lots of 12cm loops, rethreading after each one?
Sonya replied: 30 Jan 21 at 21:35
Jayne, when I made Robyn I was confused a bit with the hair, so rightly or wrongly took a length of wool threaded through Robyns head leaving a tail of about 3inchs, I then went back through his head almost close to the stitch and knotted then cut the length of wool another 3inch to match the tail and went round his whole head...hope this makes sense... it was quite time consuming but worth it. My length of wool I started with gave me about 5 to 7 strands of hair, when finish I cut to length required, to get a bit of curl going I dragged a comb/brush through.

If you select "OFFERS" from the top menu bar, scroll down and you will find a picture of a mustard yellow and floral bag with the caption 'Members discount for my website'; open that up and you will find the code. Happy sewing!

I have almost completed Maddie, and I would like to do Robyn.? However, his hair looks more complicated than Maddies? - I am re-newing my sewing skills after more than 30 thirty years of making anything.
Jayne replied: 30 Jan 21 at 16:32
Hi Linda, that sounds both complicated and ingenious! I have completed Maddie for my Granddaughter too, although there is a bit of a battle as my daughter wants her. I think I will have to make another one! I have made Robyn today - just not sure how to do his hair. Loving sewing again- just so much to learn!

I've just bought a continuous zip - I'm struggling to fit the puller to it - does anyone have any tips please? ?I've tried You Tube but still can't manage to do it - thank you
Jules replied: 6 Feb 21 at 00:51
I found it really fiddly too despite watching the You Tube demos. In the end I asked my husband to help. He got the ends on and held the zip whilst U pulled. I think I?ll buy fitted zips in future
