Hi, I am new to the Half Yard Sewing Club and sewing in general.? I am in the process of making Maddie the rag doll and her day dress.? However, I have just noticed that the pattern for the skirt part of her dress is missing.? Does anyone know where I can find it. Many thanks, Jayne

Oh,Thank you Barb. That is very helpful. I have printed the pattern pieces and I did wonder where the skirt but was. I haven`t done any sewing for more than 30 years until recently. I am having great fun learning how to do it all. Thank you for your very prompt response. Jayne x

Can you help please. Just started block of the month. After scrolling through here I found you which explained about the colours & strips. I asked question about cutting subsets and realised had to cut them 31/4 wide subsets which I have done and then stitched as it says in first 2 sentences. It then says trim these units to measure 31/2 ? but how can you if the width is only 31/4?? I?m very confused. Please help

No sorry it?s not clear to me. I have contacted previously somewhere to Debbie. I am a sewer but not really a patch worker. Thanks in advance if you can explain in another way.

I watch a lot of sewing YouTube tutorials and in a number of projects spray starch is used. Are all brands sewing machine friendly?or do you have to buy certain ones to use when sewing?

I've checked several times and I can't find the link that I can use to view the video on my computer. I can see the QR code but there is usually another link underneath it for you to view it on your computer.

Has anyone??got any suggestions for projects using small left over fabric pieces - not really tiny pieces but maybe 6" and over? I have literally loads and I simply can't throw anything away. ?
Sandra replied: 18 Jan 21 at 13:38
I'm in the same , I find it hard to throw anything out, sometimes I use my scraps for applique, especially on the outside of a bag. Just now I've decided to go one step further and use the scraps to make a drawstring bag for my Aunts knitting wool stash!!! Its really colourfull already and I'm really pleased with it.
