I am so frustrated here. I need to change the blade on my rotary cutter but I cannot remember how to dismantle it, brain a bit foggy
Blodwen replied: 26 Jan 25 at 18:51
You can find out how to change the blade on tube, I do it often.

Hello sewers. Planning for New Year and as previously said learning to quilt at top of list. Love the affect for projects. My question is, I have and use mostly fusible craft fleece but understand is maybe not correct for quilting, what do I look for? Thinking table runner, bags and whatever comes to mind as I learn. Many thanks.

Hi Debbie are you going to be selling the fleece to make Edwin? I've looked on your web site but can't find anything, many thanks
Sherry replied: 15 Nov 24 at 16:08
Here's the link for the fleece. It's currently out of stock, but you can enter your email and will then be notified when it's back in stock. https://www.debbieshoresewing.com/categories/new-arrivals/page/3/

With the elf do i have to do it in jersey or could i do it in cotton please ?
Sherry replied: 15 Nov 24 at 16:14
In the instructions Debbie says Edwin .... " is made from jersey fabric which, as it’s a stretch fabric, can be moulded to give shape to his face and body." and "Since all the fabrics used are soft, Edwin is a super-cuddly elf!" I think It could also be made in cotton though, lots of soft toys are. Hope this helps.

I would like to make the pencil case with end flaps. I can't find a video for this project. Does anyone know if there is one ? this pencil case is under bag sewing projects. But it has no date on the item. thank you
Sherry replied: 15 Nov 24 at 16:24
Is it the one called 'Pencil Pouch - This handy zippered pouch opens wide so that you can easily see your pens and pencils inside'? If so, it doesn't look like there was a video - it was probably a mid month project and there are only videos for the projects on the first of the month.

Morning sewers making a table runner for the first time and using fusible craft fleece and then thinking will have a go at the quilting. The fleece will need piecing together in two as not wide enough, I assume that’s normal unless I’d got a 2m piece and works ok. Also do I do the quilting bit before the back is sewn on or after, therefore the three layers are quilted please? Many thanks
Brenda replied: 15 Nov 24 at 11:43
Ah thank you Laura. I have never quilted before and thinking now I need to learn more about it. Looked at a few videos last couple days so might save this one for another time instead of rushing into something I know nothing about and make a proper plan. I’m so gun ho haha!

Having just finished no 12 BOTM I am now putting it together but can't find a template for the birds. Do we have to design our own ?
Mel replied: 12 Nov 24 at 17:02
I was impatient and put mine together. Will add the birds when the template arrives. I also replaced the EPP clam shell beach section as I didn’t enjoy that process and wasn’t happy with my result. I did some curves and used some interfacing and turned them and I’m happier with that result. Looking forward to finishing it next month with the birds and then quilting it all
