Making placemats with the bosal thermal wadding and struggling to quilt over the top without fabric ruffling up , any ideas? I am using a walking foot
Laura replied: 25 Sep 24 at 17:32
You can buy a thin double sided fusible interface by the metre which is really helpful to use on non fusible interfacing to adhere two surfaces together. This might stabilise the thermal wadding on a permanent basis. It is like a thin sheet of glue so don’t put your iron directly on it. Debbie doesn’t sell it but I have bought it from House of Alistair on Create and Craft and it is a real game changer. It is a great big piece so great for lots of projects. https://createandcraft.com/product/590780/house-of-alistair-repair-and-bond-fusing-1m-x-150cm-wide

Hi I am looking for the reversible sun hat pattern, I found it in back dated patterns but can't see where to get it. The date says May no year.

I've made a kids blanket with fleece backing..however im wondering if I still need to add a fabric backing ? I should have used batting between but didn't have any and wanted it to be lightweight. I haven't added the binding yet..
Doreen replied: 23 Sep 24 at 16:04
Thanks for replying. 😊👍I ended up adding a lovely tiny apples on pale yellow backing fabric this time , but will plan better in any future blankets.. I loved the process. X

I'm looking for a pattern for a sewing machine cover Debbie once made with hexagons. Any idea where I can find it?
Laura replied: 25 Sep 24 at 17:40
Was that the Birds and Bobbins panel that Debbie designed …I don’t think it is available any more. There is a similar one just launched on Sewing Street but that is a different version. https://www.sewingstreet.com/en-gb/product/debbie-shore-sewing-set-kit-panel-instructions-and-1m-fabric--china-blues/le6686/ Debbie did do a hexagonal sewing machine mat and cushion on here but not available at present …maybe they will bring it back 😊

Debbie mentioned in yesterday’s live that projects are no longer being removed after two years which is fantastic. My question is, will all the previous past projects that have been removed now return? (I hope so)

Not sure at the moment, we'll keep you posted!

Hi is anyone else struggling with the fishes (on block 10) or am I being completely dense?
Kay replied: 7 Sep 24 at 14:13
I am not up to date with my blocks, I will be catching up over the next few weeks it is very worrying to hear some don't appear appear to have enough fabric to cover the block hope I don't run out I bought the kit so I had better get on with it.
