Are those colour fabrics that Debbie used to make that cushion cover with the tulips and stained glass, still on her shop, please?
Laura replied: 31 Aug 24 at 08:58
I think a couple are ..if you take a look at the shop at debbieshoresewing.com and search for blenders then some suitable alternatives are shown. Debbie didn’t do a kit for this project so as quite small amounts of fabric are required you may have some suitable fabrics in your stash ( if you have one 😊).

Hello everyone! I’ve been a member for a year now and I’m hoping someone can help me find answer to my my search for product I thought I saw on Debbie’s store site: Little cutting mats/ironing boards/“ other” insert which could be used to hold small pieces of fabric for piecing. I can’t find anything related to cutting mats. I’ve found similar items elsewhere here in USA, but it’s that extra insert that no one else has. Having surgery in a month and want to be able to work away while recovering with my leg up! Thanks so much in advance!! Does anyone know what fabric was on the third insert?

Laura! Thank you! If that’s the one Debbie showed, then it is! I’ll see if I can find on Amazon USA! Wish I had time to make one, just a little bigger! Thank you again so much!!

I think that one was a Create and Craft tutorial so probably not available now. I think this will be the closest one using the panel. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=GibVEnAtntE

ok had enough fighting with my Necchi I really need a HD machine I think. I am looking at Singer HD 4432 or 6335M any advice etc on these two machines, anyone use, recommend or avoid??
Laura replied: 26 Aug 24 at 20:33
I have the Singer HD6805C which is the computerised version..it has a speed control function on it as well which I think is an upgrade from other versions. I enjoy using it …I still use my Necchi for the font function though as I prefer the options it gives 😊.

I’m cutting out the fabric for Block 3 and it asks for a 23 inch strip but the fabric supplied in the kit only measures 20 x 22 inches. Am I reading this correctly?
barb replied: 25 Aug 24 at 19:40
The kit is mentioned in the instructions for the block. See below * If using my kit, the fabric will be 22in (55.5cm) wide. Cut your strips to that measurement, then cut the following short strips as well and join these three short strips in the same order as in step 1. Use the short joined strips to cut one of your wedge shapes. One 2½ x 1½in (6.5 x 4cm) strip in FAB4 One 2½ x 2in (6.5 x 5cm) strip in FAB6 One 2½ x 1½in (6.5 x 4cm) strip in FAB6

Laura replied: 26 Aug 24 at 20:36
Are you using the right size needle for the thread you are using?

Just to let those working on the quilt know. I had to request further sky fabric as I didn't have enough for block 9. Having just cut out my pieces of FAB 10 Sky for block 9 I realised that I had already cut pieces 18.5 x 8.5 and 10x12.5 as suggested in Welcome to my Block of the Month. These were labelled as block 8 and not block 9 in the instructions. I hope this makes sense.

Thank you for updating information for others making the quilt.
