Hi hoping my question can be answered, i love making debbies bucket hats but i have a friends hubby who has a large head, how do i increase the size of the large one. Thank you in advance
barb replied: 4 Jul 24 at 06:37
You could adjust the printer settings to make it a bit bigger. But I just cut leaving a margin around the paper pattern to make each piece and that was fine. make it with an old scrap of fabric first to see the final size??or even with paper!

Hi, could I use tapestry fabric for this months first project - the bag which can be made 3 different ways? Do you think tapestry would be suitable? Thank you for advice given already about using H640 interfacing, very helpful. Thank you.

Thank you for your replies as now given me confidence to use tapestry fabric! Maureen

Laura replied: 2 Jul 24 at 19:45
As Barb says it works for me too?Debbie doesn?t come on to the video until it is 1.30 minutes in so not sure if you are running it for long enough to see it start.

Which type of fusible fleece are you using for the latest bag 3 ways, on half yard club
Laura replied: 2 Jul 24 at 19:49
I think I will use either the craft fleece or H640 depending on the bag finish. If I am going to quilt the bag I will use H640 as the craft fleece is sturdy but thin and didn?t quilt that well when I tried it with the tapestry fabric. Hope this helps a bit.

Hi all, Do i need special needles for an overlocker? My dad ordered me a Singer heavy Duty Overlocker from Argos, its being delivered tomorrow. Just want to make sure i have everything i need. Just shows you, i am a married 44 year old. Daddy still treats me (he brought my mum one aswell) x
Laura replied: 2 Jul 24 at 16:53
Looks like Singer do needles for Heavy Duty Overlocker so I think I would keep to the named product initially so that you don?t have any issues with warranty/guarantee while you are finding your way around it. I am interested to know how it goes as I do like my Heavy Duty Singer Sewing Machine so might be the way forward.

I'm making the 2019 bum bag and I have a hiccup with the foam stabilizer. I cut out a piece but it's not fusible. The fabric that goes with it is larger than the foam so I can't attach it by sewing the borders. What do I do? Do I quilt it? Or do I need to get another type of foam that's fusible? It seems like such a waste.
Mel replied: 2 Jul 24 at 12:44
You?re welcome Amanda. Your quilting idea would also work well.
