Hello All. Can someone please tell me how to achieve the 3/4 inch bias tape for the July Towel Tote? I have to MAKE it myself as it is not available here. I know this type can be cut on the straight instead of the bias of the fabric since there are no curves in the project but I do not know how to get it to measure a 3/4 inch finish. Grateful for your speedy response as I want to make it today Thank you very much.

What is best light weight interfacing that can be ironed on? Thank you in advance
Vicki F replied: 24 Jul 23 at 16:31
I always use G700, following Debbie?s advice. For a thicker and softer finish, particularly with bags, I use H640 or H630. I think all three are Vlieseline products. Hope that helps!

Hi I?m struggling with Maddies dress. I don?t know whether the sides of the bodice should be stitched? Do the two pieces of the bodice have to be stitched together down the sides. I?m a bit confused by the instructions. Help please?

Please can anyone tell me whether the Maddie outfits will fit a normal sized child?s doll? My niece has loads of dolls and I don?t want to make the summer dress and find it is too large. The measurement of Maddie from nape of neck to knee would give me a good idea. Many thanks. Sheila
Sheila replied: 17 Jul 23 at 10:24
Thanks for all the help. I scaled down the pattern to 75% and have completed the dress, but at this size it it extremely fiddly and gave up on the strap frills as my machine just would not sew the thickness. The bodice looks rather small and without the doll, I have not a clue whether it will fit although I know the neck to knee measurement. After messing about with the straps, I have added some elastic at the back of the dress so they are stretchy and should pull on more easily and added some very small bows which probably came from a cracker or something similar. The dress looks pretty, but I will not be tackling anything like it again! I am going to make the PJs sleeping bag which should be a far better bet It would be helpful to have the videos with these projects, but have not found any yet
