Is it just mine but all of my blocks of the months so far have come up short of the finished 12.5inch sq. I have double checked when cutting out all elements of the blocks. By the time I have put borders on they will all measure 11.5 inches??I am enjoying doing the quilt very much but fear that patterns when finished will not be exact and also I may need to put a border on it to up the size a like.

Thank you Laura. I had a 1/4 ? foot bought me for Christmas and find it very useful and have used it constantly. I must say the last block is not as small as the other 3. I will continue doing what I am doing, taking care. I will look at the scant 1/4? video you have sent me. If the rest begin to measure the right size will this mess up the putting together of the quilt with the first 3 being smaller? I have put the first two blocks together with sashing etc. Oh dear Belinda I?m sorry but glad I?m not the only one ???? Try the video Laura sent me.

Hi. I bought some faux suede on a whim and want to make a bag with it, half suede at bottom and cotton fabric on top. Do you treat the suede like faux leather? For example would you make straps the same way as Debbie does in her video using faux leather. Also would you apply interfacing the same way?

HI, I want to make a bag out of faux leather with a lining. I feel I need some lightweight interfacing somewhere. Would it work do you think if I attach the interfacing to the lining instead of the main fabric ?
