I?m making the block of the month quilt, how do you cut them to the right size for piecing together?
Laura replied: 15 Oct 22 at 08:51
We will be getting the finishing and making up instructions next month so that the quilt can be finished for Christmas. At this stage the blocks should be the made to the size given on at the end each of their instructions. I used my ruler and rotary cutter to achieve these sizes accurately if any resizing was required.

I'd love to turn the Daphne dragon into a dinosaur by replacing the wings with spikes sewn into the back seam. Has anyone else done this? Is there a dinosaur spikes template that can be used? Thank you for your time, Jenny
Laura replied: 12 Oct 22 at 20:01
If you have a look at the uploaded members photos on the Daphne project there is a picture of a dinosaur version which might help you.

Hello there. I have a number of small pieces of H630. Can I sew them together to make one larger piece to make a bigger project? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks very much and king regards Kate.
Sherry replied: 11 Oct 22 at 15:00
Hi Kate, yes that's what I would do - butt the pieces up against other (without overlapping them) and join them with a zig zag stitch. Much better than just throwing the pieces away!

Hi, Hope someone can point me in the right direction. I?ve been asked to make a cape for a child (2yr old) for her christening but I?m struggling trying to find a pattern and source some nice lace/satin etc. they want it to be used for future family christenings as well so I want it to be ?special?
Laura replied: 8 Oct 22 at 19:43
I found this one on Etsy and it does come in small sizes?not sure if it is what you are looking for. https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/499237739/constance-cape-pdf-girl-cape-pattern?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=cape+sewing+pattern&ref=sr_gallery-1-40&sts=1 I would think you would get lovely fabrics on line if you look for wedding dress fabrics etc.

Beginner basic question but for projects when given dimensions e.g. 112 x 61 is this length x width? I?m trying to figure out fabric requirements for latest pumpkin table set. The (73.5 x 142.25) dimensions for the backing fabric is confusing me also : does this need to a fabric width of 142.25cm ? most fabrics are less than that width. Thanks.
Catherine replied: 8 Oct 22 at 19:45
Thank you all for answering. I wanted to try find fabric to try making this project but got stuck on first hurdle. Plus it?s the first time I?ve asked a question so thanks for being so helpful and patient with such a basic question.
